The EABL Green Team (E-Green Team) is a recent staff-driven programme of the EABL Foundation focused on the Environmental Conservation focus area.

E-Green Team provides a unique opportunity for staff to own, develop and manage a key area in the company’s social responsibility agenda. The Team holds an open invitation to staff to become members and contribute to environmental preservation through tree planting activities.

The E-Green Team Mission :Engaging and encouraging the care of the environment by inspiring and empowering staff and local communities to be responsible for its preservation.

The E-Green Team holds the important vision of “to be a recognised staff driven team focused on: Green environment; Clean environment; Healthy environment”

Why Tree Planting?

Its simple! Trees clean the air, trees provide oxygen, trees conserve energy, trees help prevent water pollution, trees help prevent soil erosion, trees provide food,trees provide a canopy and habitat for wildlife.

Despite the evident importance of trees to life, there is tremendous threat to their existence mainly due to the human action of deforestation. Destruction of forests creates numerous environmental catastrophes, including altering local rainfall patterns, accelerating soil erosion, causing the flooding of rivers, and threatening millions of species of plants, animals and insects with extinction.

The E-Green Team will be driven to: plant indigenous trees in areas where deforestation is evident as well as educate the community on the importance of trees and their preservation.
