KBL’s Kijani Team Joins Njukiiri Community in Planting 30,000 Trees

Kijani, a staff driven environmental initiative from KBL, is admired for its commitment and dedication to the sustainable growing of trees.

With the commencement of the short rains in Kenya, the Kijani team embarked on a tree planting mission with the community in Njukiiri Forest, Embu County, which is part of the Mt. Kenya Water Tower. Kijani, a staff driven environmental initiative from KBL, is admired for its commitment and dedication to the sustainable growing of trees. Last financial year, the team planted 100,000 trees. In F20, the team has already planted 33,000 trees and has extended its conservation efforts to the Aberdares ranges, another of Kenya's water sources. Kijani enjoys a partnership with Nature Kenya, Kenya Forest Service and the community at large.
